Your private tour begins with pickup from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor, where you will meet your professional Egyptologist guide. You will then travel north to Dendera, located approximately 85 km from Luxor.
At Dendera, you will explore the remarkable Temple of Hathor, the goddess of love, beauty, music, and motherhood. This exceptionally well-preserved temple is famous for its massive stone roof, underground crypts, and vivid astronomical reliefs. You will also see rare carvings of Queen Cleopatra and her son Caesarion, as well as detailed scenes depicting religious rituals and symbols. Known in ancient times as the “House of Hathor,” the temple reflects the sophistication of Greco-Roman temple architecture in Egypt.
After your visit to Dendera, you will continue to Abydos, approximately 135 km from Luxor and one of the most sacred cities in ancient Egypt. Abydos was believed to be the burial place of Osiris, the god of the afterlife, making it a major pilgrimage center for ancient Egyptians.
Here, you will visit the magnificent Temple of Seti I, later completed by Ramses II. The temple is renowned for its extraordinary wall reliefs, considered among the finest and best-preserved in all of Egypt. Admire detailed carvings of gods, pharaohs, and sacred rituals, including scenes connected to the cult of Osiris.
Throughout the journey, enjoy picturesque views of the Nile Valley, rural villages, and green agricultural landscapes—an experience that adds cultural depth to your archaeological adventure. After completing your visits, you will be driven back to Luxor.
