Your private tour begins with pickup from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor, where you will meet your expert Egyptologist guide. You will then depart highlighted by a scenic drive along the Nile Valley toward Edfu, passing traditional villages and lush farmlands.
After approximately two hours, you will arrive at the Temple of Horus at Edfu, considered one of the most complete and best-preserved temples in Egypt. Built between 237 and 57 BC during the Ptolemaic period, the temple is famous for its massive pylons, detailed reliefs, and impressive inscriptions that depict ancient religious rituals and mythological scenes.
Following your visit, continue your journey south for about 1.5 hours to Kom Ombo, located around 70 km from Edfu. Here, you will explore the fascinating Temple of Kom Ombo, a rare double temple dedicated to Haroeris (the falcon-headed god) and Sobek (the crocodile god). The temple features unique carvings, including scenes of ancient medical instruments, calendars, and offerings, providing insight into ancient Egyptian science and beliefs.
